Another great analogy, but what if we decided not to build our banking system right on the fault line? Or what if we find that folks have planted high explosives in the fault. Or that while we were sleeping in our driveways they stole our homes. With the discount window having been open to shadow bankers, foreign banks, and non-financial entities, it seems that saving the rich is killing the economy.
