Boy you really hit the nail on the head this time. I am old enough to remember when folks questioned whether a Catholic could be President, now you need to be one to be a Supreme. But the financial cabal of the court runs much deeper, showing the long game of US ultra conservatives (i.e., those who merely want to conserve their wealth, no matter how they got it). The so-called Federalist Society (with connections to leading law schools as well as extremely wealthy donors) has has been culling and grooming creeps and creepets to serve on the court for decades. The liberals have virtually no such mechanism. These hand picked and engineered judges are there to rule for wealth, with outlandish perks built right into their service. I think much of the cultural stuff is just a smokescreen for the more financial skullbuggery.
