Capitalism is extreme indeed. Good essay. Yes in the current context sustainable development is still an oxymoron. Yes we need a complete transformation, but we have get around the money nexus.

Neither capitalism nor socialism have much to offer. In the words of Monty Python, we need "something completely different" and soon. But, I see very few examples of what that is, and how we get from here to there, save several decades of galactic scale dystopia followed by century or two of rebuilding.
