Fired indeed, but not just for poor salesmanship. Both left and right have mostly snake oil to sell. The left are almost bigger jive and fake artists than the bullies on the right. Some of the least progressive policies come from the left. Consider Clinton and Obama kissing the bankers' ring. The problem with the right is that they figured out that fear and hate really sells.
