Good essay. But I am surprised you did not mention that as presented it was mostly written by long dead white men. There were magisterial women and men of color, but they were lost to antiquity or in translation. My own grudge with philosophy is that it is mostly intellectual history (however, I must admit to enjoying some of it). So few today are actually doing philosophy. Where is this generation's Hannah Arendt or John Rawls? Even another Ayn Rand to kick around would be welcomed. Maybe it will be you Nurma.
