Great discussion. But governments will do what they have always done pander to predatory plutocrats, especially those who have claimed the intellectual property and data of others. I read this book long ago, but seem to remember it in a less positive light. The Haves and Have Nothing will obviously be magnified with all the new information rentiers. And those who think that the information age has made state supported violence obsolete, they should note that the l biggest elements of many industrial economies is weaponry, wars of choice, and surveillance (especially the US). Elites can buy a bunker/island and bug out, but what happens when all the displaced serfs come for your supply lines. Ubereats will soon need it own army. But I digress. Keep up the excellent work.
