Great essay Jared. I don't think you are that far off. Except that past cycles are a poor guide with this many compounding crises. The only cycles that should concern us at this are ecological cycles. Plus, adding or subtracting a God if pretty un-instructive. Moreover, in both your prognostications and solutions there is lack of consideration of the institutions that make our systemic choices without us.
