Great essay Matthew. This history is essential, but the kids in Florida will never see it, it might upset them. The Anti-labor movement in America roared back to life, as the Neofeudalists dismantled any remaining remnants of the New Deal during the Clinton years (remember “workfare” to replace welfare), and now they will have AI to make work a dirty word again. Does anyone remember the early TV show Dobie Gillis, and his beat nick buddy, Maynard G (played by Bob Denver)? Recall Maynard could not say the word "work". His screech is the battle cry of the wankers, who long to be accepted into the Neorentier (those who make money from their money/property in their sleep).
