Great stuff Giles, but I wish I could believe in your notion of reciprocal influences. Yet, but certain technologies take on lives of their own, especially if they have military applications. I first went to DC as a GAO Fellow, given a study I did on the political economy of nuclear power. Were it not for Three Mile Island and oil company skullbuggery, Jimmy might have gotten his BREEDER REACTORS (circulating tons of plutonium, 6000 times as lethal as cyanide per weight, in the environment). This might be our last chance to curtail AIG.
