I am vaguely familiar with the Kardashev concept applied the the super-civilizations in space (measured by radiation) . Conversely I know a good bit more about collapse of civilizations on earth via declining returns on energy invested. Using solar energy incidence as a basis for valuing transferring commonwealth (assuming we crack the fungibility/storage issues) is still a bit novel to me. You may really be on to something. However, our existing institutions of money and banking (the planet killing debt star extracting phantom wealth from the future) will not give up without a huge fight, unless we gave them title to the sun.
