I remember (the TV drama in the 1950s, where those who received a 1 million gift, had their lives completely changed, mostly NOT for the better). Another great essay. The average American has absolutely no concept of how vast the wealth disparities have become. Just ask them how many zeros are in a billion or trillion. Not to mention that their CEOs make 500 times what they make (not including their vast array of perks). Plus, those guys (and they are mostly guys) get to keep their lavish pensions after they run the company into the ground. IT IS INSANE how much we pander to our pluto/kleptocrats. We need to wake-up and smell the Serfdom.
