Indeed Thaddeus. A New Civil War would be a protracted guerilla war and totally wreck the US and by extension the global economy (bringing secondary death and destruction). It would actually be much worse than the 1st. The war between the states cost more lives than all other US wars put together largely because it combined ancient tactics (pitched battles with massive lines of troops colliding), and poor medical practices with and new weaponry (e.g. vastly improved cannon and riffling). It is hard to ever imagine what a second civil war would look like, or what might happen if regional warlords get their hands on WMDs.

A recent media piece suggests that Trumps appeal is the permission he gives to hate your neighbors to the point of murdering them. So if we even contemplate releasing this Kraken, we out to be prepared for every night being like those God awful Purge movies, with a the possible double feature of The Sum of All Fears.
