Our banking system is exactly as Hyman Minsky defined it. It is designed to fail on a relatively regular basis, with great results for elites. Your plea for trust is insulting. As Ronald Reagan said, TRUST BUT VERIFY! When we removed all the New Deal Banking restrictions (except the FDIC) and eliminated Glass-Steagall we invited the banks dance out to Minsky's "Ponzi stage". Now we allow the banks (with vast webs of systemic risk) to run an extortion racket, "bail us out (which they did in SVB case) or we will cash the global economy." If our highway system worked this way no sane person would drive a car. Note: https://pluralistic.net/2023/03/23/small-nonprofit-school/#north-country-school
