Really great essay Jaden. Golden ticket indeed. Having taught at one of the tip top schools, albeit in engineering (but with students coming over from the GSB) as well as one of the top B' schools in Canada, I can tell that the power of their networks is their insurmountable advantage. I had a good friend working on Wall Street and then the City of London with her MBA from Columbia (going nights), but she always regretted not doing it at Harvard (with a tight knit, full time cohort), because their old schools ties were superior. Even when someone totally fucked up, they always knew who to call to help them land on their feet.
As I suggested in couple of my essays, most business school don't teach much about running a business anymore, mostly they train carefully selected sociopaths to be corporate raiders. Note:
