Sticky fingers (great image). The history of our oil drug lords is packed with more skullduggery (and buggery) than the best spy novel. I once participated in the mark up of the Fleet Fuel Efficiency standards during the Carter Administration (our last honest president). Detroit said we needed to exclude trucks, because the tradesmen needed their trucks. Now everyone is driving a revamped light truck (SUV) or Urban Assault Vehicle as I call them, and tradesmen drive huge trucks with 6 liter (400+ horse) engines. Did you know that your average SUV produces twice as much CO2 (nearly 2 tons per year) than the average sedan? We are not addicted we are all overdosed.
