The Economy as a Complex Adaptive System is my choice (albeit not very adaptive these days) and it is finally gaining ground. But we serfs should not await a change in mainstream economics (which is still heavy on Chicago). At Michigan I taught Resource Econ in the SNR, and at Stanford in the Engineering School (with most of my students going into financial eng. and/or working for VCs on Sandhill Rd). GO BLUE!!!! PS: Note my recent changes to the last paragraph of my Bifurcation piece.
