This is a great essay. Except for beginning with the quote by the Prince of Neoliberal Darkness, who did not believe there was or should be a Social Contract. As one of his followers, the British PM, Maggie Thatcher, declared, "there is no such thing as society". Take a look at FDR's Economic Bill of Rights, for better guidance in this matter.
