Veblen's Victorian style prose is pretty difficult for the 21st Century non-reader. Polanyi (my favorite anthropologist) is an easier read, if one likes slogging through all the history as I do. But one would be completely stunned and extremely frighted is the saw what the Moldbuggers were reading with glee. They love all the fascist mythology/and eugenics bullshit that reinforces their neofeudalism and that makes them mythic heroes. In a society which so fully panders to predators already, we need these instant billionaires like a hole in the head. And to see them worship Trump, whose was never really one of them, is a serious kick in the nads.
